Who could lead Krynshar’s missions in his place?

Characteristics: Strategic; Smart; Sadistic; Insane

Abilities: Shapeshifting; Flying; Super Strength; Red Mist Puppetry

Krynsharverse: All

Appearances: Demon Diary Chapter 1

Fauhzen doesn’t mind harming his victims before delivering them to Krynshar. In fact, he enjoys it—he takes great pleasure in tormenting his prey. For him, the act of capturing victims for Krynshar is not just a task, it’s entertainment.

With his basic control over the Red Mist, Fauhzen can extend tendrils of it from his body to ensnare his victims. While he lacks the ability to summon vast curtains of Red Mist like Krynshar, the tendrils are very effective. Through contact, they enable him to exert the same limb-controlling effects of Krynshar's dense Red Mist.

Although his super strength isn’t on the level of Rasho, Fauhzen is more than strong enough to lift several humans at once using his Red Mist tendrils.

His flamboyant and theatrical use of his abilities earned him the nickname “Showmaker” from Krynshar.

Concept Creation

I wanted Krynshar to have the ability to summon a “boss” whenever needed, not just during specific moments like with Rasho. This boss had to be powerful, charismatic, and someone Krynshar could confidently send to handle tasks on his behalf, regardless of their difficulty.

Since Krynshar himself has a bold and commanding personality, it felt natural to draw from that to shape Fauhzen’s character. I also wanted to include a creature in Krynshar's arsenal that was outright insane—not only to make him more intriguing but also to balance out his other, more serious traits and abilities.

When designing his skillset, I wanted Fauhzen’s abilities to inspire fear and give him an unsettling, creepy vibe. By default, all of Krynshar’s creatures can fly and shapeshift since they’re composed of Red Mist, a material that floats and can be molded freely. For Fauhzen, I envisioned him using his shapeshifting ability in ways that aligned with his creepy and sadistic traits: stretching his body into unnatural shapes and forming tendrils to ensnare his victims.

To complement this, I added super strength, allowing him to easily lift humans with his tendrils. This combination of traits made him both terrifying and highly effective.

Character Creation

Fauhzen was inspired by a harlequin, drawing influence from iconic villains like The Joker and Harley Quinn. Like them, Fauhzen is insane, and a harlequin-inspired design perfectly reflects his chaotic personality.

The first step was giving him a manic, exaggerated grin, a hallmark of harlequin-style characters. This part was easy. However, Krynshar’s creatures don’t wear clothes or makeup, so I had to find alternative ways to incorporate the essence of a harlequin into his design—a challenge that proved more complex.

Each of Krynshar’s creatures has distinct eye-hole shapes and horn styles. For Fauhzen, I designed eye holes resembling harlequin-like makeup and gave him horns shaped like a jester’s hat. Additionally, I added pointed feet to mimic the classic shoes worn by harlequins.

I felt the design was missing something around the neck, as harlequins traditionally wear ruffled collars. Since a natural addition didn’t make sense for this feature, I decided to place multiple Red Mist tendrils around his neck instead. This addition resolved the imbalance and brought the design together.

For his pose in the artwork, I wanted to highlight his ability to stretch his body. I depicted him with his lower torso fading into the background, while his upper body seemed to lunge toward the viewer, with his stomach elongated as though he were reaching closer.

The hand on his face was inspired by a pose from one of Fiddlesticks’ skins in League of Legends, a game I love and often draw inspiration from for my multiverse. This pose added even more personality to Fauhzen, emphasizing his eerie, unhinged nature.
